چکیده
Overburden (OB) dumps and associated haulage are the significant contributors to increased respirable particulate levels in mining areas. Earlier studies have only focused on reporting seasonal variation of size-segregated particle mass concentration, limiting role specific emission sources sensitive receptors nearby. This study estimated impact OB dump expansion (between years 2016 2018) with spatial pattern health effects, cost. Furthermore, a model identify critical risk zones was also developed. Haulage its unloading contributed increase concentration windward side. Moreover, dumping resulted higher respiratory dose for workers inhabitants nearby dumpsite. The results indicated that coughing along lower problems were dominant effects. cases symptoms due PM10 emissions from 2018. potential 4.9% high category population exposed within two years. An alternative management option proposed reduce potential. control 73% peak curtailment 84% reduction surface area exceeding prescribed (100 µg/m3) levels. said will be useful demarcating findings particular significance dispersion particulates emanating dumps.

In recent decades, particulate matter (PM10) have received much attention due to its potential adverse health impact and the subsequent need to better control or regulate these pollutants. The aim of this paper is focused on study risk assessment of PM10 in four different districts (Shebikah, Masfalah, Aziziyah, Awali) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia during the period from 1 Ramadan 1434 AH 27 Safar 14...
متن کاملHealth Risk Assessment of Inhalable Particulate Matter in Beijing Based on the Thermal Environment
Inhalable particulate matter (PM10) is a primary air pollutant closely related to public health, and an especially serious problem in urban areas. The urban heat island (UHI) effect has made the urban PM10 pollution situation more complex and severe. In this study, we established a health risk assessment system utilizing an epidemiological method taking the thermal environment effects into cons...

The main objective of the study was an assessment of the pollution level of agricultural land located close to dumps of industrial waste remaining after former Zn and Pb ore processing in Poland. The integrated geophysical-geochemical methods were applied for assessment of soil quality with respect to trace element pollution. Additionally, human health risk induced by the contaminated arable so...
